The MKIII Uncoated Super Speeds have had their original lens coating removed, thus creating a softer contrast and more flare than the coated versions. Otherwise they are the same as the original Zeiss MKIII Super Speeds.

The backbone of the motion picture industry, these lenses are both fast and lightweight  and an excellent choice for DP’s looking to shoot in low light conditions. The actual name “Super Speed” refers to the maximum aperture of the lenses; an impressive  T1.3.

These PL-mount lenses are perfect for all 35mm film and digital cameras, and with a very compact mechanical and optical design they are also well suited for handheld and gimbal filming. These lenses originally date from the 80’s but are still some of the most popular lenses today, with the uncoated version adding unique vintage characteristics to the look.
