Canon C500 Mark II
The much-anticipated Canon EOS C500 MARK II is a new-generation Cinema EOS System camera which incorporates a 5.9K Full Frame sensor in its newly-developed, compact and lightweight (1,730g) body. Gimbals and handheld rigs can be comfortably attached, making it suitable for a variety of shooting conditions.
The 5.9K Full Frame sensor produces an immersive, cinematic look combined with faithful colour reproduction and smooth skin tones. It also delivers an impressive 15+ stop latitude with a wide colour space, making it ideal for High Dynamic Range productions. It supports high frame rate recordings up to a maximum 50/60fps at 5.9K or 120fps in 2K.
The camera incorporates the newly developed DIGIC DV 7 image processor, which enables Cinema RAW Light recording with 5.9K resolution as well as Canon’s XF-AVC format in 4K 4:2:2 10-bit onto Cfexpress cards.
The Canon EOS C500 MARK II is also the first Cinema EOS System camera to feature Electronic Image Stabilisation (IS) within the camera body, which supports 5-axis camera shake correction.
At the same time, Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF Technology offers high-speed Continuous AF, controlled via the 4.3-inch LCD touch screen monitor.
