Zeiss ZE 135mm Apo Sonnar Lens

The Apo Sonnar F2 Zeiss ZE 135mm prime lens with Canon EF mount is a fast, medium length telephoto lens, with a wide maximum aperture which gives vibrant colour renditions, as well as shallow depth of field for that dreamy bokeh effect.

The fast aperture of F2 allows for extremely sharp and high resolution images with the nine-blade aperture of this Zeiss ZE prime lens giving that perfect harmonious background blur when using minimal depth of field focus. The special anomalous partial dispersion glass minimises chromatic aberrations in this apochromat lens (apochromat: a lens with correction such that three colours lie together in the image plane, as opposed to only two) and anti-reflective coating reduces reflections and ghosting.

It is a compact lens for its focal length and its “floating elements” optical design consists of 11 lens elements in 8 groups with minimal glass-to-air surfaces. The Zeiss ZE 135mm prime lens design ensures consistent imaging performance throughout the entire focusing range as well as sharpness to the periphery of the image. A rotation angle of 268º enables precise manual focusing and its all-metal barrel provides longevity and protection for its high-quality design.
